Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Leading Medical Device Manufacturer


A global medical device company in Cork is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their growing team as part of a sustained period of high growth. It is an exciting time at the company as they look to continue growing their already impressive market share.

This person will preferably come from the Automotive, Aviation or Aerospace industries, or another highly regulated industry, as the client likes to bring in a fresh way of thinking to help improve Supplier Quality across the business.

The company are very forward thinking in terms of flexible working, which is why this role is a remote working position. In terms of site visits, there are 3 main sites to visit, all in the local area to Cork.


  • Will perform in depth technical analysis and carry out PFMEA/FMEA’s
  • Perform PPAP activities for supplier changes
  • Represent Quality function at a cross functional level, ensuring a “Quality First” way of working is adhered to across the business
  • Own and manage CAPA activities ensuring a timely investigation, implementation and closure
  • Interact with regulators and notified bodies to ensure continued compliance to industry relevant standards (ISO 13485:2016, FDA QSR, GMP, GDP etc.)
  • Manage supplier Audit programme ensuring all suppliers are compliant to the same level as the business

Required Experience:

  • Degree in a Scientific or Engineering field is required
  • Six sigma Green or Black belt would be ideal
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Aviation, Automotive or Aerospace is preferred, but other highly regulated industries will be considered
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform analysis and interpret trends
  • Post market Quality analysis skills (including CAPA, NCR’s and Root Cause Analysis tools) and experience is essential
