I’ve been keeping track of how COVID-19 is likely to transform the way in which we work and particularly within my core interest in Medical Affairs.

The key area I believe will be impacted both now and in the future will be the role of the MSL.

To that end, the report from The MSL Society provides a really interesting insight into the impact this pandemic is having on the role of MSLs.

One of the main things which stand out to me:

57% of MSL Managers / Directors of MSLs / VPs of Medical Affairs believe there will be a permanent long-term impact or changes to the MSL profession as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic

Many of the factors within this report you may already recognize within your own departments. Others perhaps not.

Additionally, there are some great insights, ideas, and tips on how engagement may have changed and how these obstacles are being overcome.
