An opportunity exists for a Senior Clinical Development Director to be the First Medic hired into the Boston team with a focus on developing and launching a suite of new assets aimed at Rare Neurological Disorders. A Senior Clinical Development Directors main responsibilities include overseeing the entire development process including pre- clinical research and product development and leading key areas of the clinical development team.


You will work with teams to execute tactical planning of Clinical Development support. Senior Clinical Development Directors must work with external partners, including partners in the academic sector, and be able to collaborate with them in the development of the products. You will also be responsible for acquiring brand new projects and assets.


The indications targeted include:

  • A rare chronic auto-immune condition
  • A serious and progressive rare neurological condition
  • A progressive, degenerative, rare disease of the motor neurons, (ALS)
  • An acquired rare autoimmune disorder


As Senior Clinical Development Director, you will be responsible for leading trials through Phase I and Phase II trials through to global filings with the FDA, EMA and Japan.



  • Leading trials through Phase I and Phase II
  • Overseeing the early Clinical Development plans
  • Leading key departments of the Clinical Development Team
  • Collaborating with departments and external partners
  • Be able to act as a monitor when required, reviewing safety reports



  • Qualified Medic
  • Neurologist / Immunologist OR extensive experience within the Neurology or Immunology Field Global Clinical Development experience with a particular focus across Phases I and II
  • Proven track record in clinical research studies and trial design
  • Strong communication skills, with good written English
  • Ability to work calmly and quickly under pressure


Base Salary:

The base salary for a Senior CLinical Development Director is $110,000 with advancement opportunities.
